Louise Armaindo

   The story of Louise, born Louise or Louisa Brisebois or Brisbois in 1861 near Montreal, is an early example of Women who raced High Wheel Bicycles. She  became known to modern club members by Ann Hall's research  in producing the book, Muscle on Wheels: Louise Armando and High Wheel Racers of Nineteenth Century America.


  In April 1882 she won an indoor 100 mile race at the  Crystal Palace in Montreal.
