Gentlemen (and Ladies):
Your committee, in placing this before the members, at the third Annual Meeting of the “Old M.B.C.” the report for the year 2019, can assure you of another successful year of the reconstituted club has added to our long record and it is our pleasure to look back upon.
The 2019 season began promptly on January 1 as winter activities such as snowshoeing and cross country skiing began to be included in the club.
Fortunately there was quite a bit of snow after New Years and we had many memorable ski adventures, starting first on Mont Royal.
Then, because the club has an eye for choosing the unusual, a variety of ski locations were picked.
21 Feb 2019, trekking along the Lachine Rapids
3 March watching the ice canoe races on Île Sainte-Hélène
2019 had a remarkable amount of snow, which made for fine skiing at Lac Gustav in the Laurentians.
But this is a Bicycle Club, and the members got back on their steeds early in the spring.
They wanted to be among the first to know of any new bike paths near Montreal.
6 April 2019, New Champlain Bridge Tour
With the coming of spring they wanted to see the changing of seasons along the river.
13 April 2019 along the Lachine Rapids
As well as being aware of the changing seasons, the club made efforts to be aware of changes within cycling itself.
18 April 2019 Westmount Historical Association Presentation on Montreal Bicycle Club
As a result of the remarkable amount of snow over the winter, Montreal also had a remarkable amount of flooding in the spring.
1 May Spring Floods Fixture Ride
In May we took excursions to Quebec City, the Canadian Centre for the Great War, the Ecomuseum, and discovered the Louis Rubenstein Memorial Water Fountain.
In June we visited the Train Museum, the Technoparc, a portion of the P'tit Train du Nord and had a visit from the FOGBEE's.
During July, in addition to 5 day trips near Montreal we had two overnight excursions to Prince Edward County and the Saguenay / Charlevoix.
Some of the longer day trips in August were to Saint Zotique, Repentigny, Pointe Fortune and an overnight excursion over the full length of the P'tit Train du Nord.
That month we also had a visit by Minnesota Cyclists.
September had two overnight excursions the Simcoe County Loop (Wendat Trail) and Rivière-à-Pierre to Quebec City.
In the late fall, perhaps because a trip to Europe, the Fixture names became somewhat abstract. Titles such as Assault on Pont Sam de Cham, Danube - St Lawrence Cycling Similarities and Differences, Cruising Along the Canals, Election Results Tour and Last Train to Deux Montagnes became the club norm.
An early snowfall in November allowed for some skiing on Mont Royal, then a mild spell permitted another investigation as to when the Champlain Bridge will open for cyclists.
With 2019 coming to a close, two days before Christmas the Champlain Bridge Bicycle path did open and we had the "Hope Finally Brings Results" Fixture ride.

1. Fowl Plays 12,14,15,&16 Dec 13
In closing I quote from the 1895 Annual report.
“Personally try to see that your “Old Club” reaps the full benefit of the greatly increased interest now taken in wheeling. Avail yourselves to the full that of the membership privileges offered, and with a true brotherly feeling, try to induce the unattached wheelmen and others with whom you come in contact to share your advantages.
The whole respectfully submitted on behalf of the Committee”
