There are a multitude of issues that could be discussed on how the island of Montreal could become a world class cycling location. The following are a list that have detailed pages and ones we hope to cover in the near future. By having group rides on a regular basis we hope to keep current on what are the cycling issues and encourage discussion of what would be the best solutions.
Dalle Park - Turcot
The new Turcot interchange is to include some new bicycle path ways. A detailed page showing how it could improve the bicycle connections between the South West and NDG has been made.

Bloor street in Toronto vs Sherbrooke street in Montreal
Montreal has long prided itself as being more bike friendly than Toronto. It has many more protected bike lanes, and a much larger Bixi system. However in one regard the bicycle infrastructure of Toronto has beaten Montreal. For modern, single direction protected bike lanes on a major street, Toronto now has boasting rights over Montreal. Photos of the Bloor street bike path taken in Sept 2016 can be viewed here as well as information from the city of Toronto. A detailed photo page comparing cycling on the two streets has been prepared.

Dorchester Redevelopment
Dorchester Ave in Westmount may be reconfigured to permit housing on the north side of the street. Many of the issues discussed about this concern how bicycle friendly the result will be. Examples of Condo buildings that are bicycle friendly and were recently built in Malmo Sweden can be seen here.
